We got asked in the new issue of New York’s L Magazine for advice on making it as an indie rock band in 2012. Read on to what advice we gave. It may help you out in the near future.
“Make sure you are ready before you start playing out. The best thing to do is have your album completed, great photos, bio, artwork, image, an amazing and tight live show – basically the works. So when you come out of the gate, you come out slamming. Most labels/press/music tastemakers go see bands when they first come out. And if their live show sucks at the beginning, we dismiss them before they get a chance to develop. But to be honest, that is their fault. That is what practice spaces are for.”
