Pitchfork reviews Grooms’ Prom today. Coming it a 7.0, Prom helps to lift the Kanine average.

Mike Joyce thinks you should check us out – what else do you need to know?

Somehow Mike Joyce got in touch with Lio. If you manage to get in touch with Lio and happen to be from one of his favorite bands ever and ask for records, watch out. You are gonna get quite a package of new and old Kanine stuff, like everything we ever put out ever.

Luckily, Mike Joyce is actually a music fan, and he’s got a show in EVR (East Village Radio) – the awesome station owned by Frank of Lil’ Frankies and a bunch of other great Italian restaurants in the EV – though we prefer Lil’ Frankies (they catered our wedding).

Anyway, Mike Joyce sifted through and listened to everything and came up with some favorite Kanine Kuts (yikes!) and had some very nice words calling us a “very interesting label” and said that “All the records that they sent me they were really good, trust me, ALL of them are really good”… “I’m sure there will be something on that label that will interest you ad tickle your aural pallet”. He was “Shocked and surprised” – we sent him a “shit load” and he liked every band, and said we are “A great label to rival some of the great indie labels in the UK” – we’ll take that challenge!
