NYC indie rock quartet Diary announces new digital EP The Cutting Garden for October 14th on Kanine Records, with new single Plant Life streaming everywhere today. Diary says, “Plant Life is a song about the latest hours of the night when the time slips and everything seems to melt into the floor.” With this record, Diary intentionally shifted towards fuzzier, woozier music. The result is four dreamy pop tracks that feel both larger, warmer, and familiarly psychedelic. Touchstones include Stereolab, Dinosaur Jr, Teenage Fanclub, Suede and even 60s artists like The Byrds and Donovan.
