Veps shares another new taste from their upcoming debut album, Oslo Park to be released November 18th. “A Show of Hands” is streaming everywhere October 28th, and Veps says, “It is a song about loneliness. A tribute to all the people who don’t want the party to end. It’s about wanting to do more than just what you’re used to but feeling like you’re missing a puzzle piece. The Cutting Garden was written throughout 2021, and assembled in their respective homes in isolation, eventually finished at Trout Recording in Brooklyn in the fall. Each of these songs lives in its own dimension, but there’s a symbiosis between them. “The EP is titled The Cutting Garden because we love the idea of a garden filled with beautiful flowers, grown solely for the purpose of being cut one day. There’s a surreal yet ordered aspect to such a natural place, and I think these songs share a similar vibe.”
