Nicole on "Get to Me": On a trip to visit Korea for the first time in 8 years I was spontaneously invited by my friend Annie Ko of the lush and dreamy electro rock band LoveXStereo to write and record a song for a Korean music app called MixAudio.  I was put in a strange and exhilarating situation to create the song from scratch in the studio and record it with Annie and her bandmate Toby for the first time ever, in two quick 4 hour sessions.  Instantaneous commitments to ideas and putting my insecurities to the side were required for this process, and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity!  The tune was then mixed by J-Path, renowned Seoul drum and bass artist and producer.  He also did some wild remixes of the song that can be heard on the app as well as on streaming sites.  “Get to Me” is a big step away from my songs on Paper Suit and Matter, much poppier with lots of sheen - but it’s still me, and I loved getting to discover a new aspect of myself as a songwriter.
